Thank you for visiting the Tender Touch web site

"Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around." -- Leo Buscaglia

Specialization in the 'M' technique®, Compassionate Touch® therapy and Aromatherapy are among a few of the modalities used for a more natural approach in healthcare and overall well-being. Some of my clients are among a group referred to as highly sensitive people (HSP). Most people are not aware that 20% of our population are born as an HSP, an inherited trait meaning that they need and respond more positively to a different type of care and approach than the general population. HSP's are sensitive to many things, some of the most significant being light, sound, touch, food and conventional medication.

In addition to the HSP population, people with specific disabilities and illnesses also find themselves in a category with heightened sensitivity. Those with arthritis, fibromyalgia, MS, neuropathy, diabetes, cancer, dementia and Alzheimer's, as well as those in palliative and hospice care respond positively to the specialized form of communication that Compassionate Touch® offers. Compassionate Touch® therapy can help bridge the gap between traditional care and those needing a more specialized and tender approach. Aromatherapy is an additional tool that can aid in bringing comfort and relaxation when a non-pharmalogical approach is desired.

Please feel free to explore this site to learn more about the techniques that I use, their benefits, my credentials and philosophy and referral for my work.
